Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Owners praise the velvet look, but color, panel pricing, and longevity deserve scrutiny

355 distinct owner comments were studied. All studied comments were marked incentivized by the retailer’s feed.

Room×Lab rating: 8.1 out of 10 (medium confidence). Rich appearance, soft cotton velvet, and broadly favorable value reports drive the score. The main caveats are single-panel pricing, occasional color or panel inconsistencies, conflicting blackout experiences, and limited evidence about long-term wear.

  • Rich finish, imperfect color predictability: 146 favorable mentions; 4 lower-rating concerns — Owners repeatedly liked the velvet’s richness and texture, but some said shades including Slate, Camel, and Spruce looked greyer, cooler, or duller than the listing images.
  • Strong value after accounting for panel quantity: 84 favorable mentions; 6 lower-rating concerns — Many owners compared the curtains favorably with more expensive options. Dissatisfaction often followed the discovery that the listed price buys one panel rather than a pair.
  • Long-term durability is not yet settled: 5 favorable mentions; no tagged lower-rating concerns — The explicit durability evidence was small. Separate reports of shedding, pile inconsistency, and pet-claw damage remain isolated anecdotes rather than evidence of a recurring failure.

Before buying

Budget for two individually sold 48-inch panels, choose the lining by your light-control needs, and confirm that dry-clean-only care and possible color variation work for your room.
