Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Upscale value, with color accuracy and lining choice driving satisfaction

All 394 distinct written owner reviews in Quince's shared Coastal Stripe Linen/Cotton Curtain family were studied, spanning the light-filtering, room-darkening, and true-blackout versions from April 2024 through August 2026. Findings may therefore mix lining variants. All collected comments were retailer-labeled verified-owner and incentivized.

Room×Lab rating: 8.1 out of 10 (limited confidence). Strong owner satisfaction, attractive construction, and perceived value lift the score. The chief caveats are grayer-than-expected colors, lining-dependent light control, and limited evidence of long-term wear.

  • Color and finish: The finish is widely liked, but muted blue, fog, and sage stripes can look gray. — The owner-review evidence contained 92 favorable color-and-finish mentions and 4 lower-rating concerns. Separately, 21 comments specifically said a blue shade did not look blue; these are review set counts, not full-pool prevalence.
  • Perceived value: The construction and appearance often feel upscale for the price, but each purchase includes one panel. — The owner-review evidence contained 87 favorable value mentions and 3 lower-rating concerns, including surprise or dissatisfaction about single-panel pricing.
  • Light control by lining: True-blackout reports are favorable, while room-darkening performance ranges from strong coverage to noticeable leakage. — Among the inspected light-control candidates, 5 were favorable mentions and 3 were lower-rating concerns. The concerns involved the room-darkening version, which is not specified to block all light.

Before buying

Choose the lining by the darkness you need, plan around one 48-inch panel per package, and expect muted blue or sage stripes to potentially read gray, plus dry-clean-only care.
