Eos owners overwhelmingly praise its comfort, with size and durability caveats
Studied all 391 distinct owner comments for the fabric-upholstered Eos Swivel Chairs across the 42-inch and 51-inch size variants, which share one Room & Board review pool. The separately listed Eos Leather Swivel Chairs were outside this review family.
Room×Lab rating: 8.6 out of 10 (medium confidence). Exceptional owner satisfaction and unusually consistent comfort praise drive the score. The main caveats are the chair’s deep, space-hungry fit and a small number of serious cushion, upholstery, and swivel-mechanism complaints.
- Sink-in lounging comfort: 236 favorable mentions; 2 lower-rating concerns — Comfort was the clearest owner theme in the 391 comments read. The deep seat suits reading and lounging, though some bodies may need extra pillow support.
- Generous size with real fit tradeoffs: 135 favorable mentions; 1 lower-rating concern — Owners found uses for both sizes, from bedroom seating to shared lounging. The 51-inch version’s footprint, 41-inch seat depth, and difficult doorway account make advance measuring essential.
- Encouraging durability with isolated serious failures: 47 favorable mentions; 2 lower-rating concerns — Most durability discussion was favorable, but individual owners reported rapid cushion wear, upholstery-wire defects, pillow deterioration, or later swivel trouble. These remain anecdotes rather than typical outcomes.
Before buying
Measure the room and full delivery path, sit-test the very deep seat if possible, and confirm the chosen fabric’s care code plus current warranty and replacement-part terms.
