Recliner owners praise the comfort and quiet wall-hugging recline, but neck support draws complaints
Crate & Barrel's review section for this recliner pools reviews from the whole Lounge collection, mostly sofas, sectionals and ottomans. Its 4.4-star average and 3,461 ratings describe that collection, can include products not covered here, and aren't a count of chair owners. We read all 2,975 distinct written reviews in it. Only 15 short reviews clearly cover this family, posted March 2025 to August 2026: six on the Lounge 34" Power Recliner (five fabric, one leather) and nine on the Lounge 40" Leather Swivel Chair. Most swivel owners call it comfortable; two report a squeak after six to seven months (possibly one household), and two report leather problems: Lukas Iron leather that marks easily, and delivered leather that looked cheaper than the showroom chair. Recliner findings don't carry over to the swivel chair, and swivel squeaks and leather complaints don't carry over to the recliner. Sofa complaints about feathers and sagging cushions come from other pieces and aren't applied to either chair. The longest stated use is about seven months, on a swivel chair.
Room×Lab rating: 5.8 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners of the Lounge 34" recliner mostly praise its comfort and quiet, wall-hugging power recline. The main caveat is thin, short-term evidence: only 15 retailer comments cover these chairs, none past about seven months, and cushion, cord, squeak and service complaints remain unresolved.
- Recliner comfort for stretching out: Linked records: 4 favorable and 1 critical mention about the 34" recliner's comfort. — Owners of fabric and leather versions praise its comfort, two mentioning a partner with back problems; the leather owner likes its somewhat firm feel. One owner found it less comfortable than their matching sofa, lacking leg and neck support, and uses it less after a few months.
- Quiet power recline that needs little room: Linked records: 3 favorable and 1 critical mention about the recliner's power mechanism. — Owners mention silent recline and a wall-hugging design that needs little extra room. One owner says the power cord often disconnects when the chair is reclined, with no stated cause or fix. No owner reports long-term motor or button reliability.
- Neck support on the recliner: Linked records: 0 favorable and 2 critical mentions about the 34" recliner's neck support. — One owner fixed it with a small pillow; the other listed it among reasons they regret the purchase. No linked review praises the neck or head support.
Before buying
Choose it if a quiet, wall-hugging power recliner is the priority and you can sit-test the neck support first; owner reports rarely go past a few months, so confirm return terms before ordering leather or custom pieces.
