Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Nomad owners favor the supportive, modular format, with firmness and wear as the key cautions

Studied 1,373 distinct comment-bearing reviews dated from March 2017 through August 2026 from Burrow's shared Nomad review pool. The pool applies to both related products reviewed here—the Nomad Armchair and Nomad Armchair with Chaise—but also includes Nomad sofas, loveseats, sectionals, ottomans, pillows, and multiple upholstery configurations. Many comments therefore describe the broader modular system, and older comments may concern pre–Nomad Plus construction.

Room×Lab rating: 7.6 out of 10 (limited confidence). Strong owner sentiment around comfort, compact-space fit, and modularity drives the score. The assessment covers the Nomad collection; long-term findings retain their configuration and purchase-generation context.

  • Supportive comfort, not a sink-in lounge chair: 556 favorable mentions; 59 lower-rating concerns — Owners often liked the firm, supportive sit, while dissenting comments described hard cushions, thin back support, or an overly upright lounging posture. Counts refer only to comfort mentions in the inspected shared Nomad review set.
  • Compact modular fit is a recurring strength: 253 favorable mentions; 21 lower-rating concerns — Owners frequently valued boxed delivery through stairs and narrow entries, though some found particular configurations larger, shorter, or less lounge-friendly than expected. Counts refer only to size-and-fit mentions in the owner-review evidence.
  • Durability is encouraging but upholstery wear deserves attention: 229 favorable mentions; 33 lower-rating concerns — Many owners described sturdy modules and lasting cushions, while concerns included pilling, fraying, sagging, broken legs, and failed connectors. The failures are individual reports, and counts refer only to durability mentions in the owner-review evidence.

Before buying

Choose it for a compact, upright, modular sit—but test your tolerance for firmness and confirm the upholstery care and replacement-part options for your configuration.
