Room×Lab Review · Review updated September 1, 2026

Owners praise the grounding weight and rich color, while care and knit durability temper the appeal

All 1,273 distinct comment-bearing, Quince-labeled verified-owner reviews acquired through August 27, 2026 were studied, spanning February 2023 through August 2026. The evidence applies to the single Cotton Fisherman Throw listing and its color variants, which share one review pool; it does not extend to other Quince throws.

Room×Lab rating: 8.1 out of 10 (medium confidence). Exceptionally favorable owner sentiment and consistent praise for the throw’s substantial, breathable feel drive the score. The main caveat is unresolved long-term knit durability, compounded by dry-clean-only care and recurring but isolated reports of shedding, snags, and unraveling.

  • Grounding weight without stifling warmth: 326 favorable comfort mentions; 2 lower-rating concerns — Owners commonly described the substantial open knit as cozy and breathable. A few found it heavy, rough, too open, or not warm enough; these counts describe the inspected comment review set, not the full rating pool.
  • Color and texture elevate a room: 467 favorable color-and-finish mentions; 6 lower-rating concerns — Rich color, knit texture, and decorative presence were standout strengths. Isolated objections involved unexpected undertones, loose threads, flaws, or edging; color variants share one review pool.
  • Care and knit failures are the practical caution: 123 favorable care mentions and 49 favorable durability mentions; 9 and 6 lower-rating concerns, respectively — Some owners reported successful off-label washing and durable use, while others encountered pilling, shedding, snags, unraveling, or holes. The failures remain anecdotes, and the official instruction is still dry clean only.

Before buying

Buy it for substantial, breathable cotton texture and decorative color—not easy care; the 50 × 60-inch size is a personal throw, and isolated shedding, snagging, and unraveling reports merit consideration.
