Room×Lab Review · Review updated September 27, 2026 · Evidence rechecked September 30, 2026

Owners love the Slice panels' teak grain, but results vary from piece to piece in looks, hanging and matching

The retailer aggregate covers 127 unfiltered ratings and can include records excluded from product-specific claims; it is not a qualified-owner count. 107 distinct retailer comments were studied. This review positively covers the "Slice" Teak Wall Art family: the 19-by-35-inch single panel and the set of 2. The pooled retailer discussion contains records attached to both configurations, plus one service-only record excluded from claim and card binding. Aggregate ratings describe that mixed shared owner reviews, not a target-qualified-owner or household count. Set-specific findings remain identified, plural-item reviews attached to the single listing are treated cautiously, and shared feed membership does not establish identical construction or performance between configurations or generations.

Room×Lab rating: 6.2 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners mostly praise the Slice family's striking natural teak, which supports a 4.2-star pooled rating. The main caveat is that linked reviews also describe mismatched or patched pieces, crooked mounts and one report of warping within days, so individual panels vary.

  • Striking natural grain, but each delivered piece looks different: Linked records: 6 favorable and 5 critical mentions about how delivered pieces looked. — Owners praised the rich grain, knots, texture and focal-point effect. Others received pieces that were duller, grayer, plainer or had more holes than expected, and one replacement came much lighter than the first. These describe particular pieces, not a universal defect, so the product photo cannot predict an individual panel.
  • Hanging can be easy, but weight and mount placement cause trouble: Linked records: 5 favorable and 8 critical mentions about hanging the panels. — Several owners found hanging easy or manageable with careful measuring. Others reported rear mounts out of level, keyholes that were hard to level, hardware spacing that missed studs, and heavy loads that led them to add screws, cleats or other hardware. Those fixes were the owners' own choices, not official instructions.
  • Pairs and groupings can work, but matching isn't guaranteed: Linked records: 5 favorable and 5 critical mentions about pairing or grouping panels. — Owners made effective pairs and larger groupings from both the set of 2 and multiple panels ordered through the single-panel listing. Critical records include a set returned for poor matching, four slabs with one mismatch, and set panels faulted for board-like or patched construction. Natural variation drives both the appeal and the matching risk.

Before buying

Choose Slice if you want a one-of-a-kind, raw-looking teak piece and can accept surprises in color, finish and joined sections. Inspect it on arrival, plan sturdy hanging for a 27-lb panel, and don't expect paired panels to match exactly.
