Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Nomad owners describe easy setup, easy moves and a firm, upright sit; collection-wide complaints center on firmness, service and wear

Room×Lab read all 1,373 distinct written reviews from Burrow's Nomad collection, dated March 2017 to August 2026. They cover the whole collection, not only the three-seat Nomad Sofa: sofas, loveseats, sectionals, chairs, ottomans, pillows and Sleep Kit items, in fabric, velvet and leather, in older and current versions. The 4.30 average across 1,491 ratings is collection-wide. Of the six reviews below, one comes from a Nomad Sofa owner; the others cover sectionals, a loveseat and one unnamed Nomad piece. They lean toward detailed complaints and are not in proportion: most ratings are four or five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 7.7 out of 10 (medium confidence). Nomad owners like the easy setup, the way it moves through narrow spaces and its firm seat. Across the whole collection, recurring complaints about firmness for lounging, pilling and sagging, slow or incomplete deliveries, and uneven customer support hold the score back.

  • Supportive for sitting, divisive for lounging: 556 favorable comfort mentions; 198 concerns, across the collection — Many owners like the supportive feel; recurring objections describe excessive firmness, shallow lounging space and limited lumbar support. An owner of a 2017 Nomad Sofa found the upright, thin-backed seat uncomfortable for lounging. Body size and preference matter here.
  • Modularity earns its keep in tight spaces: 461 favorable assembly and 253 favorable size-and-fit mentions; 157 and 45 concerns, across the collection — Owners frequently credit the boxed modules with easier setup, narrow-stair access and later moves. Alignment, latch force, heavy boxes and occasional missing components complicate some installations: one loveseat's misaligned pegs left a connection unlocked, and missing center legs left a sectional unusable until another shipment came.
  • Wear is mostly praised; service draws more complaints than praise: 229 favorable durability and 156 favorable service mentions; 83 and 212 concerns, across the collection — Many owners describe a solid sofa and fixes that worked. Others do not: a 2017 Nomad Sofa pilled after two months, a King Sofa's seat cushions lost density within six months, and owners report fraying, sagging, late or split deliveries and remedies that fell short. Hardware failures are isolated reports.

Before buying

Choose the Nomad Sofa for a firm, upright sit and modules that carry through narrow spaces, not for sinking in. Check that a 22-inch seat depth suits you, pick upholstery for pilling and pets, and ask Burrow when every box arrives and what returns cost.
