Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026
Sturdy and straightforward to assemble, with a few upholstery-wear concerns
Every written owner comment in the 226-rating Chantel bench pool was studied: 143 distinct comments, with the other 83 entries carrying ratings only. The displayed experience pool is shared between the 56-inch Licorice and Volcanic Gray fabric variants, including their related listings, so this review covers both fabric variants, with upholstery-specific observations identified.
Room×Lab rating: 8.3 out of 10 (limited confidence). Strong owner satisfaction, repeated praise for sturdiness, easy assembly, and room-friendly proportions drive the score. The main caveat is that reviews span two fabric colors and include a small number of early upholstery-wear and support problems.
- Stability and sturdiness: 28 favorable mentions; 1 lower-rating concern — A substantial, stable feel recurred across the inspected comments. One otherwise positive owner reported a slightly loose internal connection, an isolated concern rather than a broad pattern.
- Assembly: 24 favorable mentions; 0 lower-rating concerns — Owners consistently described assembly as manageable, commonly involving simple leg attachment. Isolated remarks mentioned awkward screw access or missing hardware.
- Durability and upholstery wear: 5 favorable mentions; 2 lower-rating concerns — The small durability subset leaned favorable, but specific early-wear anecdotes described loose or wrinkling fabric and cushion indentation after limited use.
